Steve Sorge
Vice President of Corporate Development, Essent Guaranty
Steve is responsible for public policy, industry relations and GSE relations for Essent Guaranty. Prior to joining Essent, Steve was with Bank of America for 12 years managing Counterparty Relations and various Risk Management roles for their Home Loans business. He also worked in GE Capital’s mortgage insurance and mortgage servicing businesses for 15 years. Steve graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Business Management.
Paul H. Brewbaker, Ph.D., CBE
Paul is the Principal of TZ Economics, a Hawaii economics consultancy. His background in research on the Hawaii economy and financial risk analytics stems from a 25-year affiliation with Bank of Hawaii, concluding as its Chief Economist. Paul is able to translate the complicated market workings and forecasts for us Mortgage Bankers and has a unique Hawaii based perspective. This is not one to miss with so much going on!
Danny Gardner

Danny has over 25 years in the mortgage banking arena including as a leader of CRA lending for Citibank and Capital One. Derek Lau, Realtor
Derek is the Broker-Owner of Real Estate Specialists and the President of the Hawaii Realtors. He has 17 years of experience as a full-time Realtor doing property management and helping buyers and sellers of residential and commercial properties. He graduated from Punahou School and the University of Oregon with a BS in Computer and Information Science and previously worked as a software design engineer.
